The Unseen//Posthumous Works of Felix Eghiazarian
June 2, 2019-June 23rd, 2019
Saryan Museum, 6 Saryan Street, 4th Floor

Exhibition Opening, June 2, 2019 6pm-8pm with performance by Alex Baboian and Armen Hyusnunts

Never-before seen works by renown artist Felix Eghiazarian will be on exhibit at Saryan Museum. See abstract and figurative works that explore themes of reunion, loss, sexuality and the space between life and death in an exhibition displaying the artist’s latest works prior to his death in 2014.

Five years later, this exhibit brings to life the final unseen works of an artist who committed his life to being a true art worker. His works often breached the boundaries of the usual mode of style, often taking on themes that recur years apart and revisiting them over decades without the sense of having a period, but more of a developed thought, an epiphany or understanding.

This rare art show is complimented by a series of Felix Eghiazarian’s mixed media works that reflect his mastery and authenticity in craft.  Felix’s mixed media pieces, made with a pinwheel printing press and traditional color mediums, take the still life to a height that offers a living universal depth and a magnitude akin to the depth, immediacy and ephemerality of Raucschenberg’s experiments with screen-printing, graphic and painting combinations. Enter this exhibition and experience the push and pull between the cycles of art and time.
