    • Armenia Art Fair objectives is :
      1. To provide a clearly arranged, representative and balanced overview of reginal and international modern and contemporary art and of the efficiency of international galleries operating in this field.

      2. To produce a well executed and dynamic Art Fair.

      3. To adapt the best international practices for a sustainable platform for the art market and to exhibit, sell and promote modern and contemporary art in the region.

      4. To bringing together collectors, high level art professionals , institutions.

These objectives of Armenia Art Fair require:

      1. International and reginal exhibits of the highest possible quality;

      2. A clear arrangement of the event as a whole; Armenia Art Fair may be accompanied by special and sponsorship programs.

    • Participation in Armenia Art Fair is restricted to applicants dealing exclusively or at least mainly in modern and contemporary art. Their works must satisfy the requirements of outstanding quality
    • The right to exhibit is limited to galleries/artist- solo( exhibitors must not exceed 5) /representatives/ whose operators can proof operation and ongoing dissemination of modern and contemporary art under the following preconditions and must satisfy the requirements of outstanding quality
    • The applicant must prove, by completely filling in the application for participation that:
      1. he/she runs a permanently operating gallery or she has been in business galleries at least 3 years /( if Galleries);

      2. that he/she has a legal agreement for the presentation of the artist(s) (if Representation );

      3. that he/she has been exhibited as professional artist at least 5 years (if artist);

      4. Furthermore, the applicant must proof in the form of sufficient information entered in the application for participation, of ongoing dissemination of modern and contemporary art.

    • Only such galleries/artist-solo/representatives will be admitted which provide proof, in the form of sufficient information in the application for participation, that satisfies the requirements and the objective of Armenia Art Fair (Section 1).
      To this end, it is necessary to provide a current biography of each registered artist from which the international work of this artist is sufficiently recognizable. The biography to be submitted for each registered artist must contain a list of all of the artist’s individual and group exhibitions, art fairs in which he/she has participated, and all other important information for the assessment of his/her work.
      The maximum number of artists an applicant is entitled to register is dependent on the size of the stand applied for on the application form.
    • Should the Advisory Board of Armenia Art Fair decide that additional material is necessary in order to evaluate an applicant’s application for participation, the Board can at any time require (by a given deadline if necessary) that the applicant submit further written materials (e.g. exhibition catalogues, provenances, annotated samples of works of art in the form of photographs or similar items). Should the applicant fail to submit the further requested materials, or fail to submit them by the date specified, this non-compliance alone will be sufficient reason for the Armenia Art Fair Advisory Board to reject the application for participation.
    • Preference of admission will be granted to those galleries/artist-solo/representatives that provide evidence ( judged sufficient by the Advisory Board of Armenia Art Fair ) that – they contribute to contemporary artistic discourse through the quality of their exhibitions, art works ,original ideas and other art events, such as lectures , fairs.
    • Only those works will be accepted which are examples of international modern and contemporary visual arts;

These include:

    1. paintings, watercolours, gouaches and drawings;

    2. original graphics; editions may not exceed 100 impressions;

    3. original sculptures and objects; posthumous castings must be declared as such in the case of works of sculpture;

    4. works of experimental and avant-garde contemporary art as well as artistic photography and videos;

    5. multiples published in limited or numbered editions (up to an edition number not exceeding 100).

  • Not acceptable are:
    1. forged works;

    2. considerably restored, damaged or revised works;

    3. graphics that have been taken from book editions published after 1950 (prohibition against showing these in isolation);

    4. works from the mail-order art trade; e) multiples not published in limited or numbered editions;

    5. works in the category of applied arts (ceramics, glass, jewellery, design etc.);

    6. ethnographica and folk art;

    7. tapestries;

    8. works created by the applicant or his/her living relatives;

    9. posthumously completed works.
  • Only online applications will be accepted . The complete online application has to be received by February 20 , 2020 at the latest. This date is a closing date. The applicant has sole responsibility for complying with this deadline.
  • Transmission of the application is made by submitting all necessary data via the homepage of Armenia Art Fair (www.armeniaartfair.com) https://armeniaartfair.com/application/
  • The complete online application must include in particular the following documents: – a completely filled in and signed application, – biographies of each of the proposed artists – maximum of 5 images per proposed artist – it is essential that the name of the gallery, name of the artist, the title and the year of the object/exhibition is mentioned per image. – list of the artists represented by the gallery
    A submission of the complete application is only possible online.
  • Applicants who register for a joint stand with not more than one other gallery must individually meet all of the approval criteria contained in these guidelines. As a result, they may not make reference to the information or documents submitted by their partner gallery. Applications for a joint stand are treated separately for the purposes of the approval process. Each application can be approved or rejected separately.
  • The Advisory Board of Armenia Art Fair makes its decisions solely on the basis of documentation submitted online within the date stipulated in Section.
  • In its decisions, the Board will assign importance in particular to the information submitted by the applicant in the application for participation. The applicant must completely fill in the application for participation. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit information that is correct and complete.

Advisory Board of Armenia Art Fair

  • The decision concerning admission as an exhibitor to Armenia Art Fair shall be made by the Advisory Board of Armenia Art Fair . This Board is free to make its decisions within the scope of its judgement and on its own responsibility. The Advisory Board can form subcommittees that are responsible for evaluating applications to participate. These evaluations are based on the main focuses of the respective presentations as specified in the applications.
  • Two-thirds of the members of the Advisory Board constitute a quorum. Decisions require a simple majority of the votes cast. In the event of a tied vote, the application in question is deemed to have been rejected. Further details can be regulated in the rules of procedure.
  • The Advisory Board reaches its decisions solely on the basis of the complete written application to participate and any other additional forms or materials that the Board might have asked for.
